Global Colleagues Campaign Update

As we enter the New Year, we are pleased to report on the progress of the 2020 Rabbinical Assembly Campaign on behalf of our Global Colleagues – our unique partnership benefiting Masorti Israel and Masorti Olami to support our colleagues from Israel, Europe, Latin America, Australia, Asia and Africa. Our movement’s solidarity with our rabbinic colleagues is helping fulfill the tremendous growth potential of the global Conservative-Masorti Movement.

We are grateful to the 68 participants in the Campaign who have not only provided $22,254 of essential funding to our colleagues around the world, but have embodied the unifying values of our Conservative-Masorti rabbinate by bringing together our people from organizations and communities on six continents.

We want to express our tremendous appreciation to the following RA members who supported the Global Colleagues Campaign:

Thank You!

These generous RA members – many of whom also supported the work of Masorti Israel and Masorti Olami through earlier direct giving – and other colleagues who are traditional donors to these organizations, have inspired us deeply during this very challenging year. And looking to the future, the 2020 Campaign and all of its passionate supporters provide us with a powerful foundation to develop creative partnerships of rabbis and communities worldwide.

In a midrash on this week’s Parashah, God chooses Moses as his agent to redeem the Israelites because he “turned aside to see" (Exodus 3:4) Moses left aside his own business and went to see the sorrow of Israel, and acted toward them as siblings act towards one another. (Shemot Rabbah, 1) Similarly, those who contributed to this campaign recognize the importance of supporting our colleagues at this time, connecting us around the world, and helping us all achieve greater heights in our sacred work.

With Gratitude,
Rabbi Adam Baldachin, Campaign Chair
