Commemorating Veterans Day

Today, November 11, the United States celebrates Veterans Day, during which we honor those who wore the uniforms of our US armed forces with pride.

As we honor our veterans, we also pray for those who are still serving in the US military. We are pleased to share this prayer for military personnel from our colleagues Gerald Skolnik and Yonatan Warren.

Our RA military chaplains play an important role in supporting US armed forces. Click here for a list of virtual events hosted by our RA to support these chaplains in their holy work (note: you must be signed in in order to access this page).

For our colleagues in Canada, today marks Remembrance Day, a memorial day to honor armed forces members who have died in the line of duty. To help mark Remembrance Day, a Jewish soldier named Tamar Freeman joined The CJN Daily podcast to recall her experiences in Canada’s last war, how she marked the Jewish holidays in Afghanistan, and why watching the Taliban retake the country has been so sad and frustrating.
