As a supervisor, you have three ethical obligations - to be fair in all of your dealings and decisions; to ensure that your supervisory and team relationships are characterized by psychological safety, and to support the success of those you supervise. Supervision is complex, and in this session we will explore how to implement each of these obligations while assuring effectiveness and accountability. The principles of ethical supervision include fairness, psychological safety, and supporting success. These sessions will allow participants to review each of these principles in theory, and then to work in small groups to identify supervisory strategies and skills that support or derail these principles.
Participants should plan on attending both sessions.
