A Message from RA President Rabbi Jay Kornsgold and RA/USCJ CEO Rabbi Jacob Blumenthal:
Shabbat concluded on the East Coast to the worrying news of the Iranian missile and drone attack against Israel. We hold Israel particularly close at this time, especially our colleagues, loved ones, and Masorti communities. We pray for the safety of everyone impacted and the healing of those injured.
We condemn Iran’s attack in the strongest possible terms. We thank the United States, the United Kingdom, and other allies for their support and defense of Israel at this difficult time.
Our entire Conservative/Masorti movement stands in solidarity with Israel and the IDF as they work to defend against these brazen attacks, and prays for their safety. As we prepare for Pesah we gain strength from our people’s history of overcoming adversity and pray for redemption and for peace.
As we say each evening: “God spread over us your shelter of peace.”
