MOCA: How Rabbis Must Act at the Bedside When Someone Is Dying

When: Monday, Nov 6, 2017, at 11:30 AM ET via Zoom video conferencing
Presenter: Rabbi Joseph Krakoff

Having honest and sincere conversations around end of life issues are never easy for anyone - certainly not the individual facing the terminal diagnosis. But sometimes the individual does truly want to talk about how they are coping and family members and friends are just not ready or able to talk about it. Rabbi Krakoff will discuss the skills required for rabbis to speak to patients at the end of life, and give a voice to the fears and concerns that emerge at this difficult time. He will also explain how to reflect on the power of legacy, values and a life well-lived.
