The Defender of Israel Neither Sleeps Nor Slumbers (Psalm 121:4)

Avinu she-ba-shamayim, stronghold and redeemer of the people Israel: Bless the State of Israel, [that it may be] the beginning of our redemption. Shield it with Your love; spread over it the shelter of Your peace. Guide its leaders and advisors with Your light and Your truth. Help them with Your good counsel. Strengthen the hands of those who defend our holy land. Deliver them; crown their efforts with triumph. Bless the land with peace and its inhabitants with lasting joy. And let us say: Amen.

(Prayer for the State of Israel from Siddur Lev Shalem)

We stand with the 12 victims of this heinous assault—including an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor—bearing witness to their pain and lifting prayers for their full recovery: refuat ha’nefesh u’refuat ha’guf.

Post-Election Statement - ARZA/Vote Reform – Hatikvah - Mercaz USA

The election for the 2025 World Zionist Congress has been a significant success for our 3 slates, representing the majority of liberal Jewry in the U.S. It was also a success for furthering our values of pluralism, equality, justice, and democracy. During a time when Zionism as a concept is more controversial for some in our communities than ever before, we successfully engaged more American Jews in liberal Zionism than we have in decades.

In Memory of Kfir, Ariel, and Oded

Since October 7, the Jewish people have united time and time again in heartbreak. Today we again mourn lives cruelly taken. We grieve with the Bibas and Lifshitz families as they endure the confirmation of the loss of Oded, Kfir, and Ariel. We are also outraged that the fate of Shiri Bibas remains unresolved, cruelly prolonging the anguish of the Bibas family.
