In this 90-minute interactive workshop, Lauren Tuchman (JTS 2018) will speak about her experiences both in rabbinical school and upon graduating with what is often called the rabbinic scholar in residence circuit. She will describe the process of refining her presentation style, how this changed during COVID and what this line of work is shaping up to be in the world we live in now. She will also offer best practices and invite others to share theirs. Finally, she will workshop a few scenarios that come up both in the process of confirming an engagement and while in the midst of an engagement. Participants will come away with some actionable strategies for honing their unique style and offerings for the Jewish world.
