Want to be a “green leader” at your synagogue? If you seek to introduce or strengthen a variety of sustainability initiatives—from energy transition and waste management to Torah learning—into your congregation, this training is for you. Join a two-part virtual training program this summer, hosted by the Conservative/Masorti Movement’s Tzedek Center, RA, and USCJ, to learn how to advance environmental sustainability at your congregation. These educational sessions are for lay leaders or staff of synagogues and other Conservative/Masorti organizations to enable you and allies to create the leadership structures that can advance sustainability commitments and projects within your organizations.

Training content will explore numerous avenues for environmental action, as well as external resources for implementing goals. We will also focus on concrete strategies for organizing your institution’s key constituencies to support in enacting a specific project identified during the bootcamp. Starting this cohort, we will be offering tiered-level microgrants to support events and initiatives that bring environmental action and learning to your congregation. All bootcamp participants will be eligible to apply.

Past participants share that this training motivated them to get more involved in their own synagogues’ environmental initiatives and provided them content for future programs which focus on climate change. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn from those at the forefront of our movement’s sustainability efforts!
