Chaplaincy in the Time of MAID

Our gathering will be an opportunity to discuss the unique questions facing RA healthcare / community chaplains related to MAID. Following the October professional development session on MAID <insert link to recording>, we will gather to explore the questions raised in that session. How do we speak compassionately about the halakhic questions raised in a discussion of MAID with patients and families?  How do we provide pastoral presence for those turning to their rabbis for pastoral support?  How do we reconcile our halakhic inheritance without losing our ability to accompany families through the decision-making process? We will share our practices and struggles around this emerging development.
