Monday, August 24; 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT / 8:00 pm Israel
Join our colleague Aubrey L. Glazer in an interactive seminar that recontextualizes the High Holiday season through the turning of the year’s inner wheel. Drawing on sources from Panui.org’s Merest Breath–Qohelet and Returning Higher: Hasidic Inspiration for the High Holy Day Journey, we'll engage with unique approaches to preaching, teaching, and personal reflection that illuminate how the soul is reborn through the process of contraction, release, and renewal. Participants will explore how diverse texts — philosophical, homiletical, and poetic — all model a contemplative curiosity for the Days of Awe. Through shared exemplars, guided reflection, and resonant passages, we will trace the subtle choreography of the spiritual signposts of the seasonal cycle, from Elul to MarHeshvan, rediscovering practices that deepen presence, attunement, and spiritual courage. The seminar is intended to be a generative companion for enhancing the spirituality of the journey as we cross the threshold into a new year of the soul.
