Rabbinical Assembly Condemns Terror Attack in Jerusalem

NEW YORK — Following this morning's terrorist attack in Jerusalem, the Rabbinical Assembly, the international association for Conservative/Masorti rabbis, released the following statement:

"We are angered and saddened by the horrifying news of the terrorist attack in Jerusalem this morning, leaving four young Israelis dead and at least 16 wounded. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who were murdered and pray for a full recovery for the injured.

As with the terrorist truck attacks in Berlin and Nice, we hope that world leaders similarly condemn today's act of terror. These murderous acts of evil must be condemned wherever they are carried out.

We stand in solidarity with Israel during this time of mourning. May the memories of the victims be a blessing and may their families be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem."
