Now that Siddur Lev Shalem has been published and its distribution is almost complete and now that all books published by the RA are available through our website, we would like to match colleagues who have books they no longer need and colleagues with limited resources who need siddurim and mahzorim. Here’s how this will work:

I am interested in acquiring as many as 100 used copies of the "pocket" edition (blue cover, paperback) of Siddur Sim Shalom for Shabbat and Festivals. They get heavy use by students in grades 6-12, so if they are in decent condition with covers intact and if the copies are grafitti-free, please contact me directly at my Barrack Hebrew Academy email address: jewishstudies@jbha.org.

Shalom chevre,

At Temple Israel of South Merrick, we received a generous donation of 150 Siddur Sim Shalom books to replace our Bokser siddurim.  We are rededicating the books (in good condition) at a discount price as a fundraiser for the religious school.  But believe it or not, we have orders for another one hundred books!

If anyone has Siddur Sim Shalom books (1985 edition), in good condition, we could benefit greatly from another one hundred or so.  You will be doing a great mitzvah for a synagogue with a very fine Hebrew school but limited financial resources.  We will, of course, pay for any and all shipping and handling costs involved,

Thanks,

Scott A. Hoffman, JTS 1991 scottrabbi@aol.com

Hi Scott,

I hope this message finds you doing well.  I wanted to see if you are still in need of the 1985 Sim Shalom.  I have several hundred copies that I'd be happy to share with you.

Please let me know.

Thanks and Shabbat Shalom,

Corey Helfand

Though not old compared to some publications, if you have any used Etz Hayim (or any Chumashim for that matter) you want to donate for shipping costs paid, please contact.

I am a ger tzedek who lives in the Deep South in a rural area with few Jews. Much of our Jewish community now is made up of converts or potential converts, many of whom have lived Jewish lives for years, and some of whom have lesser means. Torah study is very important to us and I like to make sure if someone is living a Jewish lifestyle they access to a Jewish translation (and commentary) compared to a non-Jewish one. I'm also working on a project of buying Chumashes in order for our small liberal temple (with a strong observant Jew-by-choice population) to be able to have one per pew so that they Torah reading can be followed.

Thank you for your time
